ICTICT303 Connect internal hardware components

A task that required this competency that i have previously completed is the task of cleaning out a computer unit by deconstructing and reconstructing it.

The parts that we had to identify were the fan, the cords, the motherboard and screws. All of which besides screws can be grouped into components that need to be dusted.

The tools that will be required for this is a duster, a screwdriver, tweezers, screws and a computer, these components were acquired from the tool cupboard and throughout the class room.

One way that you can tell that the computer is clean is when you can wipe your finger on it and not pick up any dust. Another way to tell if it is clean is possible performance increases such as the fans being quieter due to less debris in the way

Safety measures are a dust mask for disturbed dust in the air and also safety glasses in case something breaks and flings up.

The order of which things were removed is the case and then the screws and then the cords and then the bigger things such as the fan and the CPU.

In order to put it back together we back tracked by putting in the bigger things and then the cords back into their appropriate locations.

With some of the Computers taken apart they had broken or missing pieces. In the case of a missing piece it was properly disposed of as to be reused or dismantled.
